Savings Bonds- 100k Ira- 100k CDs- 100k 4x4 Pick Up Truck- 25k Live a good (single) life with 30k annually x 15 years = 450k Of course, I'd get a better education with this 30k per year. I will be able to get the job I want and love. Then I will spend the hard earned money traveling abroad. Plus, set some extra money aside for my future home when I actually retire. At the end of 15 years I'd start cashing in my savings bonds. I'm 23 now so in 15 years I'll be 38 years old. Back to the real world where I have to get ready for my $8.50 per hour job. If we asked what would you do with 1 billion, that would have been too easy...1 million is just low enough where you have to be careful.
