The wait for what some view as a Federal slap in the face and others as relief – the economic stimulus packages are now scheduled for delivery.  The IRS has released an on-line calculator to help tax payers determine how much they can expect to receive from their stimulus rebates.  In addition, a schedule of when you can expect to see your check arrive in the mail (based off the last two digits in your Social Security Number) is pasted below.  Remember that in order to receive your checks on schedule, you must file your 2007 tax return by April 15.  If you chose to recieve your 2007 refund via a direct deposit, your rebate will come in the same form, otherwise you can expect a check.

How Should You Spend Your Rebate?
As little as your rebate may sound, in actuality, the power of a few hundred dollars added to your regular monthly income flow can be significant.  Whether you have built up credit card debt, need to max out your 2008 IRA, or pay off store credit, use your rebates wisely, as to get ahead and not to put yourself further behind.  For some of what we consider great ways to spend your rebate, read Milk Your Economic Stimulus Rebates.

Hmmm, I think it might be time to give the local IRS office near you a call…thats a long time. And why does Florida get two checks again?

I heard on the radio yesterday that some 50,000 checks were returned to the IRS because of bad addresses. If they aren’t claimed by November 30th, the money goes back into the pot and the people don’t get their stimulus check. I agree with Ben, you might want to call them as soon as possible!
