USAA to Expand Eligibilty Requirements
USAA has announced that they are expanding their eligibility requirements. If you meet the following criteria, this might be a great opportunity to get some nice insurance benefits.
While a bit of an exclusive club, it is with good reason. The customer service is top notch and the rates are extremely competitive. They currently allow only military, but have expanded to include the following:
- Military retirees who served honorably, regardless of when they retired
- Military personnel honorably discharged on or after January 1, 1996
- Widows and widowers of military members killed in action while eligible
I currently have my renters insurance ($6 a month), a credit card prime + 2.9%, and my vehicle insurance ($700/year, with full coverage) through them and have always been extremely pleased.
