Last Thursday, Frank and I had the unique opportunity of being on the air in an interview with Andrea at AskAndrea.com in Texas (WBAP).  Its a national station that wanted to discuss our 27 Tips Around the House as well as talk about our main philosophy of helping our readers make milk the most of what they have financially.

The show is based around home remodeling and since a pretty significant amount of time and money is spent in the kitchen, we focused on that in the first segment.

The second segment was about how we go about actually saving money the best ways a few main points about being frugal.  Unfortunately we didn’t have time to really talk about all the ways we could have but we did mention a few things regarding “Belt tightening” and the state of the U.S. economy.

“What we need are not only a few simple step to get us on the right track but also the ability to STAY on that track. Before you think to yourself, ‘I need more money,’ think about making the most of what you already have”

Since this was the first time we had been on a national radio show, we were a little nervous.  We wanted to both be on the phone, but don’t really live anywhere near each other so we stuck around at work and actually ate dinner at my desk in my office.  Thank you Union Station!  Turns out we did great and were told that we might be asked to join in again in a month or so.  We are really excited and can’t wait.

We will be broadcasted again around the 20th of September and will let you all hear if we are able.
