Have used this for a couple of years before it came out mass marketed. Mine are black and recently got the white "womens" version for my birthday. So now I have three. The white doesn't work as well or maybe I just have Hobbit feet. In my state, it is against the law for a pedicurist in a salon to "shave" any dead skin so you will still need the bucks for that! :0. I've had my pumice stone for 15 years and it's still going strong! I just leave it in the shower and once a week I run it across my feet.
