There always seems to be at least one item that we desperately want.  Whether it’s a book, electronic device, or clothes—some things are have-to-have.  Rather than rushing out to the mall to fulfill your cravings, try some of these methods that will save you some money.

First of all,  before I purchase an item, I research it online to try to get the best price.  I’ll then weigh the shipping costs, time it would take to arrive, and quality of the item and make a decision of where to buy it.  It’s a habit both Ben and I share, and it’s one I think is worth trying for everyone.  The only problem is it requires patients and many times the item we want so desperately has to wait about a week, but  not only will you survive the wait, you’ll save money.

If you use Amazon to do a lot of your shopping—which you should consider because the variety is amazing and prices from new to used items almost always beats chain stores—consider trying www.wishradar.com. This web site will notify you when items in your Amazon wish list drop in price.  An alternative is www.pricegrabber.com, which allows you to set a target price on items and when it reaches your desired amount, it will notify you.

When buying items specific to electronics, consider using www.pricewatch.com, www.newegg.com, in addition to Amazon.  Pricewatch is a great site that will compare prices on a number of sites and in general, finds the cheapest price available on most items.  NewEgg is just a good trustworthy site that routinely beats competitors in price and customer service.

It is known that by shopping online you can save a lot.
I use a cash back site which gives me cash back on every purchase I make online; and I also use coupon codes to even lower more the price on whatever I am buying. There is over 350 big time merchants offered in this program. Sometimes it takes me some time to buy something I want but it is totally worth it. I invite you to try it. This website is free and I am not the owner of it. I use one in particular, http://home.bigcrumbs.com/casinoroyale

I have been a member for almost 4 months and it has saved me over $120. Money which I deposit straight into my savings account every month. Every little bit helps!
I hope you use this to your advantage.:)

That is understood, but for expenses that you are already going to have to make, an extra 4% off of your purchase is now cash on hand. This is cash back program is applied to most of the merchants you use everyday. You say that Walmart is already cheap well how does an extra 3.6% off sound?

Sounds like a great thing! its basically taking a big chunk out of the taxes on things you buy…and that’s a good thing!
